Fundamentals of Photography

This 8-hour Saturday course will focus on photography as a science, technical craft, and art. Attendees should have a camera with full manual control capability (there should be an ‘M’ on the control wheel). The goal of the course is to teach students to take their cameras off ‘Auto’ mode and utlize the full capabilities of their cameras.

The first half of the class will focus on the mechanics of cameras and lenses, along with the basics of exposure. The second half of the class will focus on composition and will feature a photo-walk for students to put their new theory to use.
